If you are no longer our member, we continue to treat your personal information in the same way as if you were still a member.

Information Sharing within Kappa Alpha Psi Federal Credit Union
Kappa Alpha Psi Federal Credit Union takes an integrated approach to financial services. We want to provide and make recommendations about a variety of financial services to you. For this reason, we may share any of the personal information that we collect about you among companies within the Kappa Alpha Psi Federal Credit Union family as permitted by law and to the extent permitted under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Information Sharing Outside Kappa Alpha Psi Federal Credit Union
We do not disclose any personal information about our members and former members to non-affiliated, third party companies outside the Kappa Alpha Psi Federal Credit Union family except as required or permitted by law. For example, we may share information with regulatory authorities and law enforcement officials; provide information to protect against fraud; report account activity to credit bureaus; and give account information to check and statement printers and other service providers who work for us. We may also share information we have about you with firms with whom we have joint marketing agreements to provide you with offers for financial products and services. Kappa Alpha Psi Federal Credit Union may share transaction experience and history with non-affiliated, third party companies to the extent permitted under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and this Policy.

Notices and Changes in Terms
Kappa Alpha Psi Federal Credit Union will provide notice of our Privacy Policy when you open an account and then annually as long as you maintain an ongoing relationship with us. We issue a copy of the Privacy Policy to you annually to comply with credit union regulations, not because we have made any changes to the way we collect or use your personal information. We can change our Privacy Policy by giving you notice as required by law. The Privacy Policy is for general guidance. It does not constitute a contract or create legal rights or modify or amend any agreements the Credit Union has with you. You may always review our current Privacy Policy on our website or write us for a copy.

Opting Out
If you do not want us to share information about you with non-affiliated, third party companies who are selling their own products and services, you can opt out by contacting Kappa Alpha Psi Federal Credit Union by telephone or in writing. It will take no more than 30 days to implement your opt out request from the date you contact us. If there is more than one owner of an account, an election by one owner to opt out will be treated as an election by all of you to opt out.
